Achieving The Bulletproof Shoulder Through Myofascial Force Transmission - NorCal

The functional capacity and dynamic stability of the shoulder complex rely on passive connective tissue restraints, synergistic muscle actions at superficial and deep levels, and neuromuscular control for skilled movements. Given the multifactorial factors that contribute to optimal function and health, the shoulder is one of the most susceptible joints to injury. This course will reframe how attendees conceptualize and achieve shoulder ‘strength’ and ‘stability’ by practically applying the emerging science of mechanobiology to clinically-friendly, loading progression. The criterion and phased-based approach strategically manipulates the type, intensity, speed, duration, frequency, and direction of forces across the continuum of shoulder rehabilitation. By implementing these concepts, clinicians will be able to not only promote more robust healing of injured tissue but will improve the shoulder’s energy absorption capacity to assist in providing primary and secondary prevention of shoulder injuries across the lifespan.

Course Location: PT Works:  794 Altos Oaks Dr., Los Altos, CA 94024

California CEU Approval #2025-03 (15 contact hours / 1.5 CA CEUs)
