High Velocity Low Amplitude (HVLA) thrust procedures have been demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of a variety of spinal and extremity disorders. In order to become proficient in HVLA techniques, practitioners must train and develop their palpatory and psychomotor skills. This course serves as an introduction to HVLA techniques that can be used in the treatment of spinal pain and dysfunction. The instructors will provide a rationale for the use of HVLA techniques and provide a solid foundation for the principles of these techniques. Module I is designed to allow the novice to acquire the basic skills of HVLA techniques for cervical, thoracic, lumbar and pelvic girdle regions. Module II is designed to allow practitioners with more experience using spinal HVLA thrust  to refine their techniques. Both courses emphasize significant time in the lab learning and practicing HVLA techniques. Significant time is provided between the Modules to allow the clinician to practice their technique prior to taking Module II. Module III is a masterclass designed for highly advanced clinicians who have extensive experience using HVLA techniques and wish to improve their skills further.
